SUSHI, SUSHI, SUSHI !

Many packs of sushi were sold at the supermarket of Kamogawa.
It is a rare scene even in Japan.

Usual supermarket doesn't sell such amount of sushi.

Kamogawa is famous for the fishing industry.
So this shop is special.

Anyway, It looks really good!

My mouth is watering.
Our family member bought sushi that they like there.

This shop's name is Edo-ya.
Edo is the times of about 260 years ago when Tokugawa family governed Japan.
And Ya means shop in Japanese.
Edo sounds familiar with Japanese.

I found out there is a kitchen microwave on the shelf.
I was wondering who uses this equipment.
Are there the needs of eating something soon after purchase?

A castle shape sign

There is a sign of castle shape.
Because there is the castle called Kururi-Jo near this mall.
(Jo means castle in Japanese)

I took this picture from our car.

Rural sights made me relaxed.

Traditional Japanese custom

Lots of carps swim in Japanese sky.
We have an annual event, in which some cloth carps are hoisted to the peak on May 5th.
These carps are called Koi-nobori.

May 5th is the national holiday named children' s day.
There is a song of Koi-nobori in Japan.
According to the song, these carps are a family, and the big one is their father.

I found out a movie about Koi-nobori on YouTube.
And more detailed information is here.

A famous product of Chiba Japan

Crispy peanuts in this ice cream!

Peanuts are a famous product in Chiba Japan.
This ice cream is made from peanuts.
When you eat it, you feel peanuts' sweet flavor.

Peanuts ice cream; it's highly recommended.

What is this burger?

What are these pictures on this burger's paper?
These are shrimps.

So this is a shrimp burger.
A shrimp burger is called Ebi-burger in Japanese.

Let's open the parcel paper.
Lots of shrimps are crammed in the croquette.
It looks really good.

I'm wondering a shrimp burger is popular in other countries or not?

Teriyaki burgers are popular in Japan

We Japanese got five days off from May 2nd through May 6th.
Japanese call those holidays Golden Week.

I went to the southern part of Chiba pref Kamogawa with my family.
It was beautiful day.

We stopped by a famous burger shop Lotteria.
(McDonald's is most famous also in Japan.)

My brother grabbed a teriyaki burger there.
Teriyaki taste is specific to Japan, I think.
Oh I'm getting hungry.

A swing makes you happy?

When was the last time you played on a swing?

I'm wondering a good idea may come to my mind if I get relaxed on a swing once in a while.

These swings' design looks good as well as the slide that I posted yesterday.

These are the last pics of Yanaka Japan.

Beautiful sakura at Yanaka Japan

Wow-ees, beautiful sakura trees aren't they?

Sakura (Japanese cherry) is mysteriously attractive, I think.

Is this a house of a guardian angel?

The slide's design is good.

Japanese Ukiyoe

It is a fancy store sign like Japanese Ukiyoe!

It is a part of the hair salon Tateyama that I introduced in a previous post.

By the way, it has been raining for a few days here in Japan.
It is like that rainy season has come though a usual rainy season is July.
Little bit gloomy.

A shop with a distinct design

What do you think this shop is?
At first, I thought it was a cafe.

"Hair salon Tateyama" is written on the sign board.

Its look is retro and different from current style hair salons.
But it is fancy.

It is located also at Yanaka.

Dangerous Game

Wow, who is he? Why is he climbing such a dangerous high place?
Come down right away!

...hussshh

Ah! After I looked him up carefully, I found out he was not a real man.
He was a sculptural man!

This is a sculpture museum.
That explains it.

Its name is Asakura-Choso-kan and located at Yanaka.
Cool.

A flower shop at Yanaka

I found out that my total overtime work on April was around 100 hours.
That means the average work time per day was around 13 hours.
Oh it sucks! I hate it.
So I ran away from my office today.
But I souldn't complain about my situation right in a recession?

Hmm..
It is a flower shop at Yanaka and has retro-flavored name board , but it is nice.

A tin plate shop at Yanaka

This is a tin plate shop at Yanaka.

The kanji on the windows are Buriki-ten Yoshikawa.
Buriki means tin plate in Japanese.
Buriki seems come from Dutch Blik meaning tin plate.
Yoshikawa may be the name of the shop owner, I think.

The ornament of the entrance is interesting.
